Administration Officer - Environment and Science

  • Use departmental databases and information systems to manage accurate records, produce reports and statistical information. Manage office assets including phones, motor vehicles and office and field equipment.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management and staff on a range of administrative matters including human resource management, financial management, general administration and the status of the work being undertaken and work procedures e.g. issuing of invoices and tracking of the progress of payments for permits and authorities, correspondence and records management systems.
  • Identify areas of operational improvement and assist in devising and implementing solutions to improve efficiency including the development of effective work practices and procedures.
  • Liaise and confer on a regular basis with staff of all levels and with external clients as required.
  • Assist with the administration of permits and licences required under legislation administered by the QPWS.
